UPDATE OF ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT (EA) - FINAL REPORT MARCH'12

The report presents an update of the Environmental Assessment (EA) report and Waste Management. Plan of 2002 and updated in 2007 for the Health Sector Reconstruction and Development Project (HSRDP). It now incorporates the Reproductive and Child Health Programme.

Those reports were for the rehabilitation and development of Health-facilities and technical programmes for Moyamba, Kono, Koinadugu and Bombali District of Sierra Leone on behalf of the Ministry of Health and Sanitation (MOHS).

Bo, Nov. 28, 011 (MOHS) – Health and Sanitation Minister, Zainab Hawa Bangura has described the current distribution of 52 containers of Free Health Care drugs countrywide, as the largest since the inception of the Free Health Care Initiative.

HEALTH MINISTER PERFORMS TURNING OF THE SOD FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF MATERNITY HOSPITALS AND OTHER HEALTH FACILITIES IN PORT LOKO AND TONKOLILI DISTRICTS.

Port Loko – Tonkolili, Nov 22, 022 (MOHS) Two ultra modern maternity complex, community health centres, maternity child Health Post and other health facilities are to be constructed in the Port Loko and Tonkolili districts under the Strengthening District Health Services Project funded by the African Development Bank (ADB)

Performing the Turning of the Sod for the construction of the Health facilities at the maternity hospital construction site in Port Loko, Health and Sanitation Minister, Zainab Hawa Bangura said the 30 beds maternity hospital to be constructed will be fully equipped with a Theatre, Laboratory, a pharmacy and other vital components.
